The Best of AW14/15 Campaigns

Unfortunately, Autumn/ Winter will soon be approaching and (if you actually have money, unlike me) that means you will be wanting new attire for the rain and cold weather. Now if you REALLY have money, you will probably be able to afford one of these babies in the AW14/15 Campaigns, but for now, these just here as a source of inspiration of what to look out for next season. From the beautiful squads from Diesel and DKNY, to the Fast Food-Chic from Moschino, these are the best of the Campaigns.

British Summertime (OOTD)

 Top - Urban Outfitters
Tennis Skirt - Via Depop
Cardigan - Brandy Melville
Shoes - Dr. Martens
Not sure if this outfit is the most sartorially elegant, but it is definitely suited for the warm temperatures and incredibly stuffy rides on the tube. I managed to get the skirt for only about £20 from a seller on the Depop app, instead of paying a ridiculous amount for the American Apparel version.
Although going on abroad during the summer, staying in London is something to look forward to too. Despite the fact that the air conditioning on the tubes hardly ever work and there are a swarm of tourists blocking every Central London street and stopping to take pictures at every waking moment, there is so much to go to, to see and to do (e.g. Notting Hill Carnival, Hyde Park, or generally exploring the city).
Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Summer Makeup + Playlist

We haven't done a makeup post in what seems like nearly a century so here is a look that is perfect for summer (especially for a simple evening look). It is not extremely heavy or dramatic which makes it great for the hot weather.
 1) Use concealer to cover up spots and imperfections
 2) Fill in your eyebrow with either eyeshadow (which matches it's natural colour) or brow gel
 3) Add a shimmery beige eyeshadow on the whole eyelid (and blend out to the crease)
 4) Use a darker eyeshadow (or the bronzer you will use later on) on your outer lid and blend with the previous colour
 5) Add mascara to top it all off
 6) To finish off, highlight and contour your face (you can use bronzer or a contour kit for this)
Voila!
We also have some songs that we are listening to this holiday:
We hope you enjoyed this post and enjoy the rest of the summer,

DIY Distressed Mom Jeans

So after being given a pair of vintage Levi's jeans (Thanks G) and discovering they already had a few rips in them, I decided to make them into ripped jeans. I got this inspiration from friends' jeans and various pictures on Instagram and Tumblr and they were so simple to make (especially if you have a pair of old jeans you want to jazz up a little bit).

 You Will Need:
-Jeans
-Scissors (preferably nail scissors)
-A Pencil or Chalk
-A Ruler
-Tweezers
1. Turn the jeans inside-out
2. Begin to draw lines where you want your holes/rips
3. Cut these slits with your scissors
4. Begin to fray. You can do this by pulling on the white thread to start off with, then pulling out the blue threads. This will reveal the white threads and give the desired ripped effect
5. Finally, (optional) put your jeans in the washing machine and dryer, this will make it look less boxy and allow the white threads to really come through
Thanks for reading this post, we hope you liked it :-)
