Amsterdam Weekend 2016 + Mini Haul...

Dress, Top  - Episodes Amsterdam
***
Last weekend, one of us spent time in the city of Amsterdam, for a short art trip. Although the journey was long, 7 hours, two cappuccinos and god-knows-how-many Kinder bars later, we were there.
Unlike at home, the pavements were not embellished with pigeon poo - big red buses were replaced with trams, and of course, bicycles. So. Many. Bikes.
On the first day we went to the Van Gogh Museum, where we saw work from his contemporaries, as well as the artist's most notable pieces.
On day two we were given a lot more freedom to roam the area, and I'm a tad embarrassed to admit we took an Uber to get to a vintage shop only a few minutes away (the things you do for the sake of fashion). The store, appropriately named 'Episodes', is where I managed to bag the stuff above.. I think it's safe to say that you can't turn down a 20 euro dress and 12 euro up-cycled Versace top either...
On the last day, before spending what seemed a lifetime heading back to London, a friend and I roamed the city. Being a Sunday, many smaller shops and galleries were closed, but it was a lot quieter and gave us an opportunity to see the beautiful and tranquil side of Amsterdam, without the obstruction of having to go in a slow group and selfie sticks.

'Saatchi 'Saatchi (OOTD)

Top and Hoodie (worn around the waist) - American Apparel
Jeans and Shoes - Topshop
Jewellery - Asos
A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to visit the Saatchi Gallery, a modern art museum in Chelsea, London. The photos seen above are just a few examples of some of the fantastic pieces which we saw around the gallery, which boasted several rooms and floors of artwork, for example, the 'Oil Room' (last photo, above) where the floor of the room is covered in oil, making a really cool and trippy reflective effect (see Google for more details as this is not the best description).
